Riverside State Park holds a special place in my heart. A great many of my adventures on a bicycle has happened within this park. With the Centennial Trail and tons of great single track in the park boundaries, the riding never gets old or stale. Riverside is a huge source of pride when I tell people about where I live. It’s hard to find a jewel this close to a city that yet still feels out of the way.
One of my favorite events in Riverside is the annual 24 Hour Race hosted by Round and Round Productions. My first ever race was the 24 Hour Race in 2005 and have done many since. The best lap every year is the sunrise lap. Not much beats the feeling of watching the sun pop up during the lap and never fails to bring a bit of energy to pedaling. And most importantly, a smile on my face!
Josh is a mountain biking friend. He knows the Riverside trails like the back of his hand. He has been riding in the 24 Hour Race since 2005 and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. He can be found working in the bike shop of Mojo Cyclery in Spokane Valley.
